My mom passed away recently She made the best apple pie I have not ate apple pie in years
I decided to make a chicken pot pit but had leftover crust so I made an apple pie I used a frozen pre-made gf pie crust for the bottom I peeled and sliced apples Cut the apples around 1/4 inch in thickness Add cinnamon and sugar after each layer of apples
I used a bobs red mill gf pie mix for the top I followed the directions on the package but added around 6 additional tablespoons of water than the receipe called for on the package I put down wax paper on the table Added The dough on the wax paper Then added wax paper on top of the dough roll out the dough It is easier to move the dough if it is on wax paper Add the tolled out dough on the wax paper to the top of the pie. Put down the dough along the rim of the pie and remove excess dough
After the pie bakes 15 minutes on 375, add milk to the top with a pastry brush The milk helps with the golden brown color Bake an addition 10 minutes
